What to Send in a Packaging Brief

The six things that let a factory quote accurately the first time, and the three that cause most re-quotes.

Why briefs get re-quoted

Most re-quotes are caused by missing dimensions, an unclear quantity, or artwork that arrives after the price. A complete brief usually turns into a quotation the same day.

Send these six

Product dimensions and weight, including caps and pumps. Set layout — what goes in one box, and how it should sit. Quantity, plus any future repeat volume. Box style, or a photo of something close. Artwork or logo in vector format. Delivery country and target date.

Three things that slow a quote down

A quantity range that is too wide to price. Artwork in a low-resolution screenshot. A structure chosen before the product dimensions are known.

What you get back

A price range or a firm quotation, the structure we recommend and why, the sample plan, and the packed-carton figures so you can estimate freight before committing.
